Fall Foliage Tour- Sat. October 10, 9:00 a.m. Check the camera batteries! It's time to saddle up for leaf peeping and pedaling! Last year's Tour at Battle Creek Park offered breathtaking color and scenery. This year we're going to try Theodore Wirth Parkway, with a loop around Lake Of The Isles. WUMN Board Meeting The next WUMN Board Meeting is scheduled for October 13, 6:45 p.m. Meetings are held at the Coldwell Banker Burnet office at 7550 France Avenue South in Edina. WUMN Gala 2010 Update The date is February 13, at the Ramada MOA in Bloomington. This new venue offers free parking and a more affordable room rate. Please note that a limit of 350 tickets are available! There are no table prices, but table groups can be requested with your payment. Ticket Prices: • $35.00 now until Nov. 1 • $40.00 from Nov. 2 to Jan. 1 • $45.00 Jan 2 to February 1 Ticket sales end on February 1. Contact Rose FFI to order tickets or volunteer for the Gala. Volunteers needed for door ticket taking and decorations. Social Hour begins at 7:00, dance music starts at 8:00. Exotic Dance Classes for Queer Women and Friends Diva Riot is offering three classes; Lap Dance, Exotic Dance and Pole Dance. Learn how to give a seductive lap dance to your partner; floor moves, chair dancing, and wall dancing will be included. Individual moves as well as a routine will be taught. Picnic in the Park Appreciation Event The Appreciation Picnic and Annual Meeting on August 22 was attended by 13 womyn who enjoyed burgers and brats grilled to perfection by Chef Dana. The salads, chips, fresh fruits and vegetables were masterfully presented by Hostess Deb. Board President Rose Hart gave a short presentation in which outgoing Board members Jill, Martha, Elizabeth and Jessica received thank you cards for their exceptional service to the organization. The WUMN Board is now comprised of four womyn and the officers; President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, will be elected at the November 10 Board meeting.
