THE WUMN WEB SITE ADDRESS IS CHANGING!

This is great news for those of us who, like your Web Goddess and Hunt and Peck, hated typing class. (Yea, it was all girls, but the teacher was just plain ugly.) Starting on May 1 the WUMN web site address will be www.wumn.org. Neat-o, huh? We know the old site is bookmarked in your Fav's, BUT the webhead's wizardry will redirect you from the old site for 30 days after the change takes place.

MAY 3, FILM AT THE RIVERVIEW/ SOCIAL HOUR
WUMN movie night at the Riverview Theater on Monday night, May 3, at 7:30. They are showing an Alfred Hitchcock film, “The Birds (1963).” http://www.riverviewtheater.com/show/show/1302 Cost would be $8 or $5 with a film pass. Meet first at 6-6:30 or so at the place across the street – Riverview Café – for coffee and whatever. The "whatever" will come in handy afterward, when you can't sleep because of the coffee and scary movie. Betcha it's just as scary now as it was in 6th grade.

WUMN's SPRING BIKE RIDE, MAY 22
Mother's Day is late and the lilacs are early. So this year the Annual Lilac Ride is called "Ride With Rosie". Yup, here's your opportunity to schmooze with the WUMN Board president and her sidekick, the Web Goddess.
The route, appropriately enough, will be the Rose Gardens at Lake Harriet. We'll meet and greet there at 10:00 and do some Grand Rounds riding for as long as folks can stand it. RSVP is appreciated so we know how many energy bars and "nanner's" to bring. Location and info.

OUTDOOR GIRL ADVENTURE WEEKEND, SEPT. 3- 6
Make plans for Labor Day weekend now to spend it with the ever fun- loving Outdoor Girls in their frolicking Adventure Weekend. You'll need to register by August 15.

Welcome to the finest golf tournament of 2010, complete with food, 18 holes of golf on one of Minnesota’s best private courses, cart, music, and a ton of fun! The price is still $150 per player for lunch AND dinner, prizes to win on every other hole, a full drink cart always close, and the opportunity to carry a financial message of hope to those who are victims of domestic abuse.
